Mitsubishi has confirmed that the fourth generation Montero Sport is scheduled for release in 2023. The seven-seat SUV will receive an array of new innovative features both inside and out.

The exterior of the car is made up of various elements such as the latest iteration of the Mitsubishi motor dynamic shield design which makes the front of the vehicle look wider. The hood is placed higher to create a deeper look.

Driving with non-functioning fog lights can be like driving with a blindfold which is why the newly styled lamps of the 2023 Montero Sport are placed with the consideration of water damage while driving on flooded roads. In addition, the back lamps give the car an improved and more rugged look.

A power Tailgate is a feature that's fitted for the first time in a Montero Sport that offers hands-free automatic operation. The three methods of operation include a kick motion Mitsubishi remote app via mobile phone and the vehicle's key. Another element is the intermediate stop feature which allows the driver to stop the tailgate at the desired position while it's automatically opening or closing to prevent overtravel or object collision. The desired stopping point can be registered in the system as a default. The last element is the close and lock function which makes closing and locking the tailgate easier by pressing the lock switch. The exterior also comes with the body-colored shark fin antenna which demonstrates superior performance for applications such as navigation, communication, and tracking. We also get 18-inch diamond cut six-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the 2023 Montero Sport comes with 8-inch color LCD meter displays which offer entertainment as well as hands-free functions in a safe and user-friendly driving environment. Smartphone integration features apple car play and android auto which allow for smartphone connection to easily operate maps, music, calls, messages, and more through voice commands.

The AC power outlet has been moved to the rear side of the center console to allow the driver and passengers to charge their gadgets with ease when on long rides providing a comfortable and luxurious experience.

The vehicle is powered through a 2.4-liter DOHC turbodiesel with 178hp and 317 pound-ft of torque.

The 2023 Montero Sport also comes with world-class safety features such as forward collision, mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, ultrasonic miss acceleration mitigation system, and multi-around monitor.
